Manufacturing and Grinding
Custom Gear offers a substantial production capacity in order
to meet our customers' most demanding requirements. Our modern
machine shop specializes in the manufacturing of hobbed, shaped,
shaved, and ground gears, splined shafts,
in addition to manufactured
parts.
We are able to produce Spur and Helical Gears up to 30 inches
in diameter, 54 inches long, and up to an AGMA class 15.
Our gear grinders can grind straight, crown, or tapered gear
leads along with tip and root profile modifications. Our
Reishauer and Hofler Gear Grinders are capable of grinding
gears 3 to 4 times faster than conventional gear grinders. All
gears are inspected on state-of-the-art Hofler gear inspection
equipment.
Machined Parts
In addition to manufacturing gears and splined shafts, our
shop produces machined parts on CNC Lathes and CNC machining
centers and manual machines. We are capable of handling orders
of 1 up to 1,000's of parts

A full CNC gear grinder capable of grinding gears 3
to 4 times faster than conventional gear grinders.

Capable of crown, taper, single tooth, and skip hobbing
on gears and shafts up to 22 inches in diameter.
